Let me introduce myself as Mrs. Dong. I am a mother of three, and two of my children are receiving online instruction from Ms. Tsay since 2021. As well, I plan to have my daughter take part in Ms. Tsay’s lessons. I first met Ms. Tsay at Songshan Lake in Dongguan in 2019. At that time, I was very anxious and was feeling helpless for my two children since they required much assistance for their learning difficulties. My daughter was diagnosed with ASD and my older son had problems with reading and writing. Fortunately, after taking seven classes with Ms. Tsay, my son was able to continue onto the second grade in primary school. This was to be celebrated since it was expected that he would repeat grade one.

What would follow is Ms. Tsay continuing to guide and support me in developing the talents of my two children in other aspects. As well, she always encouraged me to discover the different sides of my children. For this, I am very grateful. Ms. Tsay’s character and her teaching methods are worthy of recommendation in many respects.

First, Ms. Tsay is very adept at discovering the differences in each child and appreciating their unique characteristics. She is always quick to understand the child’s inner self, thus being able to improve their confidence and establish a good friendship with them. Every Saturday within our family is the day that my children look forward to the most because that is the day they will interact with Ms. Tsay during an online class. As a parent, I also enjoy listening in. Ms. Tsay’s enthusiasm is contagious. My child and I learn much from these classes and we gleefully look back at the enjoyment later at night.

Ms. Tsay is also a very keen teacher. She designs each class according to that specific child’s issues and then communicates with the parents after class. Each class covers much material yet remains fun.

Compared to the standardized learning courses within China, Ms. Tsay’s courses are much more very flexible. The design of learning content ensures an adaptation to each child’s abilities allowing them to choose learning models that they are comfortable with. The reason why Xingbo is able to overcome his confusion with learning is that Ms. Tsay is able to integrate a curriculum that corresponds to the difficulties that he faces. This in turn helps him understand any materials that he is required to learn.

My eldest son has made great progress over the past few years. Last year, my second son was quite envious that Xingbo, his older brother, could take classes with Ms. Tsay every Saturday. Even though he is an exceptional learner, he joined her class as well. He also enjoys Ms. Tsay’s online class and has been more considerate in the last year. Both children are continually improving.

In the four years that I have known Ms. Tsay, I have learned much from her. Regardless of whether my child is in class or not, Ms. Tsay never hesitates to provide professional advice. Her teaching model advocates for open teaching and parental participation. This is so that the parents can follow and learn more about their children’s unique talents while Ms. Tsay is helping them. “Highlighting talent and growing up with children” is what Ms. Tsay hopes for, which is also the original intention of AITEC. If AITEC sets up a parent education class in the future, I am very much looking forward to joining in.

Ms. Tsay is a very special teacher. Even a simple letter of recommendation cannot fully describe the positive influence she is on my children and myself over the years. Through the eyes of the children, you are “the seed of truth, the messenger of good, the nature of beauty.”

I am very grateful to Ms. Tsay, and I am very happy to recommend her to other children and their parents who require much help with learning. Today is Teacher’s Day, in which I wish this special soul a happy holiday. Attached are two paintings for Ms. Tsay drawn by the two children of mine who she has helped.

Happy holiday! Ms. Tsay! !
